Key Information

How It Works

At the heart of our House System is our Academy vision and values:

  • Kindness
  • Resilient
  • Reflective
  • Part of the Community
House Allocation

To support with creating a truly inclusive system for both students and staff, House names were voted on and decided on by the whole Academy. Every student and member of staff is placed into one of the five houses: Fire, Air, Water, Earth and Sun.

House Competitions

Throughout the academic year, students participate in various competitions ranging from sports to art and charity projects. Points are awarded for participation, effort, and achievement, encouraging a healthy competitive spirit.

House Leaders

Each house has a Head of House and will elect leaders and captains from the student body who support with the organisation of events and rally their housemates, fostering leadership skills and solidarity.

  • Mr Richardson – Water House (Blue)
  • Miss Wright – Fire House (Orange)
  • Ms Pennington – Earth House (Green)
  • Miss Mitchell – Sun House (Yellow)
  • Mr Wilkinson – Air House (white)
Inter-House Events

Our calendar is filled with inter-house events, including sports days, talent shows, and themed challenges. These events not only promote being part of the community but also help students develop resilience and collaboration skills.

All students have the opportunity to earn House points. House Points aim to enhance and support our values reward system. Points are awarded for things such as community spirit, participation in House competitions and extracurricular involvement. Students can also gain valuable House points every week for showcasing consistent standards and attendance.

Benefits of the House System

Community Building: The house system creates a family-like atmosphere, where students support one another and form lasting friendships.

Leadership Opportunities: Students have the chance to take on leadership roles, helping them develop essential skills for the future.

Increased Engagement: By participating in various activities, students are more engaged in their school experience, leading to improved motivation and achievement.

We encourage all students to get involved, embrace their house spirit, and strive for excellence. Together Students Achieve.
