Year 8 Rugby Festival – Match Highlights | Thursday 9 October Our Year 8 rugby team delivered a strong performance at the recent festival, showing resilience, teamwork, and skill across five competitive fixtures: Rainhill High A – 2-0 Win Cowley – 1-0 Win Rainford High – 0-5 Loss (Reigning English Champions) Rainhill High B – 3-0 Win De La Salle – 4-0 Win With four wins out of five, the team demonstrated excellent defensive work and creative attacking play. We are so proud of our Year 10 students who took part in a Spanish immersive day at Cronton Sixth Form College They were a true credit to The Sutton Academy; demonstrating our values of being resilient and working together as part of a team. Both staff and student ambassadors commented on their engagement, enthusiasm and subject knowledge. Well done Year 10!
