To ensure students can make the highest level of progress possible, being ready to learn in the lesson is imperative. This means students will need to have key equipment to support their learning in lessons. Equipment required to be ready includes:

  • Pencil case
  • Pen
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Rubber

During the first 5 minutes of a lesson/form time, when the teacher is taking the register, students will be expected to have their equipment out on their desk and then answer the register “Ready” or “Present”.

Opportunities will be available for students to buy equipment upon entry to the school, at break, lunch times and also during Ready to Learn via Year teams visiting each form room.
