Fascinating Science Investigations
The Science Faculty has been buzzing with excitement recently as students delved into a series of captivating investigations, sparking curiosity and igniting a passion for scientific enquiry.
Amongst the standout experiments, one that left a lasting impression on Year 13 students was the decay investigation featuring maggots. In a hands-on exploration of decomposition, students witnessed first hand the intricate process of decay, from initial stages to advanced decomposition. The results were nothing short of astonishing, leaving the students amazed and eager to delve deeper into the mysteries of biology.
Meanwhile, Year 12 students embarked on a fascinating journey into the anatomy of fish with a gill dissection investigation. Armed with scalpels and a thirst for knowledge, students carefully dissected fish specimens, gaining invaluable insights into the structure and function of fish gills. The experience provided a unique opportunity for students to explore the complexities of biological systems up close, reinforcing classroom learning and nurturing a deeper appreciation for the wonders of life.
