Aspire to Be
"Pupils are well prepared to progress to the next stage of education, training or employment. A comprehensive careers strategy focuses on raising pupils' future aspirations when they leave school, including the 'Aspire to Be...' programme. This gives pupils the opportunity to meet and listen to representatives from a range of different careers to discuss realities of the role." - Ofsted, February 2017
Aspire to Be is a new programme run over lunchtime, the aim of the session is that it gives students a wider insight into the types of career paths available.
So far we have had Aspire to Be a Teacher, Midwife, Fitness Instructor, Dancer and Aspire to Be in the Army. We have also had the following Aspire to Be sessions involving a Doctor, Fire Fighter, Paramedic, Air Cadet, Solicitor, Electrical Engineer plus many more all sharing their own personal journey of the reality of what it’s like to be in that profession.
