Students achieve best results!24.09.2015
Many congratulations to all of our Year 13 students who have achieved the best results in The Sutton Academy’s history. Sixth Form achievement overall has improved very significantly on previous years’ results.
This year’s cohort has worked phenomenally hard to achieve the highest number of As and A*s the academy has ever seen, with a staggering 82% of vocational entries being awarded the top grades, and 71% A*-C for A Level entries.
Callum Houghton, Adam Dowdle, Jamie Barr and Matty Taylor are all pictured after receiving their outstanding results, including two A*s and an A grade for Jamie! All the boys are now heading off to their first choice of university studying Chemistry, Sociology, Marketing and Business respectively.
Head Girl Amelia Smith has achieved an amazing two A*s, an A and a B and will be heading to the Elliot Clark Dance School in September.
Mrs Sherman, Principal “As Principal, I am delighted with our Sixth Form results and extremely proud of all our young people and what they have achieved with their hard work and dedication”.
Our Year 11 students have worked extremely hard to secure some outstanding individual results and they deserve their success. Overall students achieved 136 A/A*.
Worthy of an individual mention is Megan Ford who secured 10A/A* grades, a fantastic achievement.
Abigail Donnelly, Joe Glover and Lucy Stanton were also rewarded with a set of excellent results that included 5A/A* grades.
Principal, Mrs Sherman said “I am extremely proud of the individual achievements of our students. They have shown determination and commitment and should be congratulated on their results.”
